Léry, on Lac Saint-Louis
Léry sits on a stretch of Montérégie shoreline between Châteauguay and Beauharnois, facing Lac Saint-Louis — the widening of the St. Lawrence River that extends to the west end of the island of Montréal. The town has fewer than 3,000 residents, no shopping centre and no through-traffic artery: boulevard de Léry runs along the water, and most streets branch off it as cul-de-sacs.
From downtown Montréal, Léry is 35 to 45 minutes away via Autoroute 30 or Route 132 after the Honoré-Mercier Bridge. Montréal-Trudeau airport is about forty minutes via Autoroute 30 and its bridge at Salaberry-de-Valleyfield. Everyday services — grocery stores, high schools, Anna-Laberge Hospital — are ten minutes away in Châteauguay.
Lac Saint-Louis is navigable and connected to the Seaway: waterfront properties with a dock allow motor and sail boating, with access to Lac des Deux Montagnes and the river eastward. Water levels vary by season; shoreline setbacks and protection works come up in every transaction and should be documented before the offer to purchase.
The typical buyer is a South Shore or West Island household looking for water without the drive to the Laurentians, or a family trading a Montréal neighbourhood for half an acre or more. The housing stock mixes 1940s–1960s originals, often extended, 1990s bungalows and contemporary builds on waterfront lots freed by demolition.
We currently represent four properties in Léry, from a co-ownership home to a private peninsula, and have just sold a fifth. Each has its own dedicated site or detailed listing page below.
